Live Groups, Workshops, & Trainings

Scope of Service (Virtual & In-Person)

By enrolling in a live group session, workshop, or professional training, you are purchasing access to a somatically informed collaborative learning experience.

  • Virtual Groups: You are responsible for maintaining a stable internet connection and a private, quiet space to participate.

  • In-Person Events: You agree to abide by all venue-specific safety and conduct rules. You are responsible for your own travel and lodging unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Commitment to Recurring Groups (Mandatory Payment)

Many of our groups meet on a recurring basis to build a stable "collective container" for somatic work.

  • Binding Financial Commitment: For all recurring groups and multi-week trainings, enrollment is a commitment to the full series.

  • No Drop-Out Refunds: Because your spot is reserved for the duration of the series and cannot be filled once the group has begun, you are legally obligated to complete all scheduled payments, even if you choose to stop attending or miss sessions. * Payment Plans: If you are on a payment plan, you agree that Hannah Milks, SEP is authorized to complete the remaining charges on your original payment method according to the schedule, regardless of your attendance status.

One-Time Groups & Workshops

  • Payment: Payment is due in full at the time of registration unless a payment plan has been arranged in writing with Hannah Milks, SEP and (at least) the first payment has been successfully processed.

  • Cancellation by You: Groups and workshops are non-refundable. Cancellations made with notice at least 24 hours prior to the event are able to apply the event fee as “credit” towards another service from Hannah Milks, SEP. Cancellations without notice prior to the event (“no call no show”) are non-refundable and the customer may not apply the cost of the group or workshop as “credit” to any other service.

The "Safe Container" & Conduct Policy

To maintain a regulated environment for all participants, we reserve the right to remove any participant from a group (virtual or in-person) at our sole discretion if their behavior is:

  • Disruptive, harassing, or threatening to others.

  • Consistently outside the scope of the group's focus.

  • In violation of the group’s confidentiality agreement.

  • In violation of any rules of the venue the event is hosted at.

  • In violation of the law in any way.

  • Influenced by drugs or alcohol.

In the event of removal for conduct, no refunds will be issued for past or remaining sessions.

Confidentiality Agreement

By participating, you agree to keep the identity and personal shares of all other participants strictly confidential. You may not record, screenshot, or share any portion of a live group session without express written consent from the practitioner and all participants.

Force Majeure (Unforeseeable Events)

Under Missouri law, Hannah Milks, SEP shall not be held liable for failure to perform our obligations if such failure is the result of an "Act of God" or other events beyond our reasonable control.

  • Examples: This includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, state-mandated shutdowns, venue fires, or sudden illness of the practitioner.

  • Resolution: In such cases, we will first attempt to reschedule the event or move an in-person event to a virtual format. If the event cannot be rescheduled within 3 months, a pro-rated credit or refund may be issued at our discretion.

Limitation of Liability for In-Person Events

By attending an in-person group, workshop, or training you voluntarily assume all risks related to travel and physical presence, including the risk of exposure to communicable diseases. Hannah Milks, SEP is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property occurring during an in-person event.

Venue Liability & Property Damage (In-Person Events)

  • Responsibility for Property Damage: You agree to treat the event venue and its contents with care. You are solely responsible for any damage, destruction, or loss of property (including but not limited to furniture, equipment, fixtures, and structural elements) at the venue caused by your intentional or negligent acts or omissions.

  • Indemnification: You agree to reimburse Hannah Milks, SEP for any repair or replacement costs charged by the venue resulting from your actions. You agree to pay the costs charged by the venue within 30 days of receiving an itemized invoice.

Limitation of Liability for Virtual Events

Virtual Environment Disclaimer: You acknowledge that virtual sessions and groups are conducted via third-party software (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet). Hannah Milks, SEP is not liable for technical failures, service interruptions, or data security breaches occurring on these platforms.

User Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring your physical environment is safe and private during virtual sessions. To the maximum extent permitted by Missouri law, Hannah Milks, SEP shall not be liable for any injuries, emotional distress, or loss of privacy resulting from:

Your choice of physical location during a call;

Interruption of the session by third parties in your environment;

Equipment failure or "tech fatigue" resulting from screen use.

Limited License & Intellectual Property

Your purchase grants you a single-user, non-transferable, non-exclusive license for personal, non-commercial use only.

  • Ownership: All content, frameworks, and methodologies (including the application of architectural systems and design thinking to somatic healing) remain the sole intellectual property of Hannah Milks, SEP.

  • Prohibited Uses: You may not share your login credentials, redistribute the files to others, resell the content, or use the materials to train others or create derivative works without express written permission.

Description of Services

By purchasing an individual session (any “session” or “consult” booked with the intention to work one on one with Hannah), you are securing a specific block of time (typically 60 or 90 minutes) with Hannah Milks, SEP for Somatic Experiencing® support and trauma informed design consultation.

  • Process over Outcome: You acknowledge that you are paying for the practitioner's time and application of the SE™ method. As somatic work is highly individualized, no specific physiological or emotional outcome is guaranteed.

  • Technology Requirements: You are responsible for having a stable internet connection and a device with a working camera and microphone.

  • Virtual Environment: You acknowledge that virtual sessions are conducted via third-party software (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet). Hannah Milks, SEP is not liable for technical failures, service interruptions, or data security breaches occurring on these platforms.

  • Camera Policy: To ensure somatic safety and the ability for the practitioner to track nervous system cues, cameras must remain on during the entire session. If you are unable or unwilling to use your camera, the session may be terminated without a refund.

  • Drugs and Alcohol: Please do not attend any virtual sessions after using drugs or alcohol or while “under the influence”. Please do not bring or use any substances during session. If you are under the influence or use drugs or alcohol during the session may be terminated without a refund.

In-Person Sessions

  • Venue Conduct: You agree to abide by all safety and property rules of the office or venue where we meet as well as any laws governing the city and state of the venue.

  • Health Status: Please do not attend in-person sessions if you are experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness. We reserve the right to move an in-person session to a virtual format at our discretion to protect the health of the practitioner and other clients.

  • Drugs and Alcohol: Please do not attend in-person sessions after using drugs or alcohol or while “under the influence”. Please do not bring or use any substances during session. If you are under the influence or found to have drugs or alcohol in your possession the session may be terminated without a refund.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • The 24-Hour Rule: Cancellations or requests to reschedule must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.

  • Late Cancellations: If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or fail to show up for your session ("No-Show"), the full session fee will be forfeited.

  • Late Arrival: If you arrive late (virtually or in person), the session will still end at the scheduled time. No price adjustments will be made for shortened sessions due to late arrival.

  • Read our refund policy to learn more.

A session may be terminated immediately if the practitioner determines:

  • The client is under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs.
