This live 75 minute workshop will teach you how to design your therapy office, yoga studio, or healing space to be nervous system informed and support the healing container. Happening virtually on July 29th at noon (US Central Time).
Designing Healing spaces
75 mins live + recording for $25
What you’ll learn:
Design Thinking: This is not a “decorating” workshop. You will learn how to think and make design decisions like an architect. This skill goes beyond trends and will help you transform the space you have now, and any office you may have in the future.
Design Theory: Learn relevant design theory to support your design decisions. This means you’re no longer blindly picking art at Hobby Lobby, you have a reason behind each decision and know how it’s supporting the healing container.
Real Examples: See the principles of this workshop applied to a real community mental health therapy office. Most people are working in a budget, with provided furniture, and other limiting factors- that doesn’t mean your space can’t be nervous system informed.

why choose this workshop:
Hannah Milks, SEP (she/her)
You probably don’t know many SEP’s with a master’s degree in architecture, but to Hannah, design and healing are inextricably linked. Design is an overlooked tool that can promote embodiment, nervous system regulation, and healing- or interrupt it. Unfortunately, many people don’t consider how the built environment, their furniture, lighting, and even their wall art may be impacting the somatic (bodily) experience. They miss simple opportunities to create physical spaces that support the healing container and promote regulation. Hannah’s master’s thesis was on nervous system informed design and she has been continuing her research as a professional designer and somatic healer for 8+ years. Hannah’s goal with this workshop is to advocate for better healing spaces for all- you will walk away with practical, actionable, knowledge that will still be relevant in 20 years.
